So, you've walked into the airplane, seen the virtual cockpit and now you sit behind the Captain's control column and the 2D panel appears. My first thought of the panel was "what the..." immediately afterwards grabbing the desk edge by my left hand because I almost fell off the chair. The panel is the biggest resource eater on this addon, and it does affect the loading times and frame rates more then the 3D models do. And once you get deeper into the numerous subpanels you discover why. There are many animated views onto the 2D panel, which aren't common in the FS world. While taxiing I observed the animated tiller wheel on my left hahnd side, and it was closely matching what I was inputting on my joystick. It was really fun seing something like that animated on the 2D panel, but then, the rain started, and another breakthrough was made! Windshield wipers are also animated, and you can have them moving around the surface of the frontal view. Unfortunately, theese animated bits do tend to hit the framerates a bit, and with clouds, rain and an already demading addon, that is something most computers won't like. All gauge motion is smooth, and a great majority of the switches and buttons are modelled and furthermore all of them serve a function. But the main engine instruments are scaled to a critical point where they became blurry because of the ratio on the bitmap not being 1:1.
