Review - Dreamfleet Beechcraft Baron 58

Beechcraft Baron 58 - The result of 14 Years of product development. Derived from the 1956 Beech Travel Air, the Baron 58 shares trademark aesthetic features of it's past derivatives, yet vastly modernised with a new 285HP engine and a new interior inspired from the Beech A36. Flight1 has given us the opportunity to take Dreamfleet's virtual flavour of this General Aviation Wonder to the skies.

The installation required very little user intervention aside the input of the product key and the trivial task of hitting next repeatedly. There were 4 different parts of the installation that occurred automatically one after the other;

  • DreamFleet B58 Baron
  • RealityXP B58 Gauge Pack
  • Garmin 500 series Trainer
  • DreamManager
  • Also included in the Baron 58 package was an incredibly comprehensive 108 Page Operations Manual. The first section gives the user some background information about the aircraft. It then moves on to explain the contents of the Baron 58 package and how to install. Before moving on to the actual operations of the aircraft, the manual discusses display settings such as Anti Aliasing, Anisotrophic Filterising and gauge quality to change if the sim begins to “stutter”. I haven't yet come across a manual that informs the user about this. Dreamfleet's clearly taken their time to cater their product to people with systems of varying specification. More on that later.
